The leading global car hire organisation Enterprise Rent-A-Car has unveiled a new youth-focused application. Enterprise has created the new branded graduate recruitment app via Youth Media, a leading networking group focused on young people.
The app has been placed on Youth Media’s ultra-modern and dedicated YouthWire Desktop Platform at PCs in universities and college libraries, in addition to several other study areas around the country. The British capital has topped the poll of most-fined regions for motorists in the UK. London has emerged as the motoring-fine leader across the country, while drivers in Northern Ireland were found to pay out the least.
The survey, by leading insurance company esure, revealed that residents of London paid an average of £680 in motoring related fines in their lifetime. Virgin America has become the first airline in the world to introduce a social networking service onboard its aircraft. The new seat-to-seat communication system allows passengers who want to communicate with others on board to do so through their seat-back screens. Virgin America already offers internet services to passengers and will soon offer those with internet capable devices the in-air ability to connect via Wi-Fi. However, these services still require passengers to fork out an additional charge.

Figures published by the Office for National Statistics show that the number of UK residents travelling abroad last year dropped by a massive 15 per cent. The ONS reported that 58.6 million trips abroad were made through 2009, a drop of 10.4 million on the year before. As well as those travelling out of the country, there were fewer visitors coming into the country. The rate was slightly less steep, but still down by 6.3 per cent on 2008.
