Europcar announces new partnership with Air Berlin

Europcar, the leading in car rental organisation in Europe has teamed with Germany’s second largest airline, Air Berlin.
The two industry leaders have joined forces to crest the new Premium Partnership program, which will provide quality car rental services to all business and leisure customers that fly with Air Berlin.
Already in partnership with Air Berlin since joining the ‘topbonus’ scheme in 2008, as of July 1 Europcar has officially becomes the ‘Premium Partner’ for the airline, meaning it will be charged with the provision of a range of quality vehicles from its extensive network. Turkish car rental enjoys summer boom

The car hire industry in Turkey is booming, with prices being driven up by high demand.
The summer holiday season for the popular Mediterranean destination has seen a huge demand for rental vehicles, which has been compounded by the growing number of Turkish expats returning home.

Atlanta Marriotts are the city’s greenest hotels

Two new Marriott hotels in Atlanta, Georgia are set to become the city’s greenest after one is awarded the status of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The SpringHill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway has been granted LEED status by the US Green Building Council. A second Marriott hotel, the Atlanta Marriott Gateway, is still to open its doors, but when it does so in August, it will apply for silver LEED status.

British Airways offers cabin crew a peace deal

British Airways has offered its cabin crew a peace deal in an effort to bring the long standing dispute between the airline and members of the union Unite to a close.
Unite has given its member until July 20 to decide whether or not they wish to continue with industrial action. Derek Simpson and Tony Woodley, Unite’s joint general secretaries, have apparently presented BA’s deal in a letter, but not made any suggestion as to whether it should be accepted or rejected.
